Service & Rates

Here are a few key points to guide our collaboration:

Voiceover rates vary based on several factors, including the medium (radio, TV, online), the market (local, national, international), the length and nature of the script, and how the audio will be used.

• Rates can be calculated by project, script length, or per word.

• The more detailed you are about your needs, the easier it is for me to provide an accurate quote and the ideal read for your project.

• The prices below are starting rates.

I’m happy to offer a free sample before we confirm any booking!

Market & Usage:
All quoted rates are for the US market. If your project is aimed at a smaller audience, a reduced quote may apply.

If you have a different quoting method (for example, per-minute rates for explainer videos), let me know so we can tailor the approach.

Standard Session Fee (Corporate/Web/Explainer Videos):
Starting at $185 (including Sales Tax). This includes:

• Voice recording and editing to produce a clean, broadcast-quality audio file.

• Studio hire.

• Non-broadcast usage for: client websites, social media, internal training, eLearning.

• Retakes if needed due to recording errors.

• Remote session options via Skype, Zoom, Cleanfeed, Source Connect, ISDN, or ipDTL.

• Edited tracks delivered in WAV format (or other format of your choice).

• Free retakes for minor script adjustments after initial recording. Any script revisions made after the first approval are treated as a new project.

Online Advertising/Video On Demand:
For accurate pricing, knowing the approximate number of impressions is helpful. If the scale is uncertain, usage will be added at 100% of the session fee per 3 months.

TV Content:
If you can provide an estimate of the campaign size (like the number of TVRs), I can use usefee.tv for a ballpark quote.

Audiobooks:

• Fully edited & proofed audio: $200 per finished hour.

• Raw recording available at a lower rate upon request.

E-learning:
Three options for pricing:

• Raw audio: $0.05 per word

• Edited audio: $0.10 per word

• Edited audio with file creation: $0.15 per word
  Minimum order: $100.

Video Games:
$150 per hour, plus usage (normally billed at the session rate). Indie projects, can be negotiated based by the VAC rate guide.

Other Projects:
Rates for custom projects depend on specifics. Please get in touch for an exact quote.

Payment Terms

• Payment is due within 30 days of invoice via bank transfer.

• If you wish to pay via PayPal/Venmo, please note there will be a 6% charge to cover app fees.

Copyright & Intellectual Property

• All prices quoted are pro-rata. All copyrights, intellectual property rights, broadcasts rights and any other rights associated with the author (for clarity, the artist/worker hired by the hiring company) and the author's works and/or performances shall remain with the author. Upon full payment of my invoice, the following license is granted by the author for usage rights of the works listed as follows:

  • License details: The author's works may be used by the hiring company for a period as specified on my invoice, unless otherwise stated, upon which time the works shall cease to be used, or an additional usage payment (equal to the usage payment in the original invoice) shall be made to the author. The author's works may only be used for the agreed product or service (and any of the platforms or mediums) detailed in the invoice line-items, and not in any additional products or services in the future, unless otherwise stated.

  • For the sake of clarity, this also means that the works may never be incorporated into any text-to-speech, synthetic voice or Al Voice models, on any platform or medium, known now, or in the future.

  • The author's works may only be used in the geographical region as specified in the invoice line-items, unless otherwise stated; if no geographical region is stated then the license specifies that this is the hiring companies country location only. The hiring company may not transfer the works, nor this license to any third parties, (including the sale of the hiring company itself) without the written consent of the author.

• Late Payments overdue by 30 days (without prior agreement) will incur fees.

Revisions – Terms & Conditions

Self-Directed Sessions:
I’ll send you a sample for approval or ask for a reference from a previous project. If you’re not satisfied with the recording, I’ll re-record until you’re happy. If script changes are made after recording, additional fees will apply based on the extent of the changes.

Directed Sessions:
I’ll provide you with every take from the session so you can choose the one that best fits. If the session runs over the agreed time, I charge $150 per hour, or a minimum of $40 for up to 15 minutes, $75 for an extra half hour, or the full hour if longer.

Once the project is approved, I’ll send an invoice. Any further changes or script revisions will be treated as a new order.
